Senior Mentorship Program

Senior Mentorship Program

The student mentorship program places a senior in a science or allied health facility for an eight-week period. The mentorship will be a collaborative involvement in which the student and mentor will work toward stated goals.

In some cases, the student may work as a member of a research or team. In other cases, the student may work in partnership with their mentor performing as a team member in an allied health setting. Again, this is dependent on the needs of the mentor and the student. The research effort involves the collection of data and analyses that are essential to any scientific endeavor. The practical application will involve real world/practical experiences reinforcing integration of academic skills.

Emphasis will be on the application of the following workplace readiness skills:
Communication, team work, problem solving, and the integration of academics within the professional environment.
